Bam Aquino Honors Pope Francis’ Legacy of Compassion and Service

Former Senator and independent senatorial aspirant Bam Aquino joined Catholics around the world in honoring the late Pope Francis, who was laid to rest on Saturday at Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica. Photo credit: Bam Aquino FB page In a statement, Bam remembered the Holy Father’s enduring legacy of compassion, service, and simplicity. “We continue to reflect on his life, on his service to the Church, and what it meant to the whole world,” Bam said, recalling that he was deeply inspired when Pope Francis was selected as the first pontiff from South America.  “Hindi siya taga-Europa o Amerika — siya’y taga-South America na tulad nating mga Pilipino — nasa laylayan ng mundo,” he shared.
