Yesterday, the City of Las Vegas City Council approved mater Lease agreements with Catholic Charities for five rental units and Sierra Vista for 10 rental units to serve as transitional housing for homeless individuals. These units will be used for the Second Chance Employment Program, which connects individuals who are being served at the City's Courtyard Homeless Resource Center to job opportunities and housing.
The master lease agreements are for a period of 1 year with the option to renew for 5 additional terms. The Neighborhood Services Department requested a total of $195,120 from the American Rescue Plan/Redevelopment Set-Aside funding.
