The World Needs More Santas
Coca-Cola celebrates the spirit of Santa Claus in all of us this Christmas
Coca-Cola unveils its eagerly anticipated festive campaign and acts of kindness that are on the top of Santa’s Christmas list. Since it’s not Christmas until you see a Coca-Cola Christmas ad, the online film launched last November 6, 2023, marked the start of the holiday season.
With this year’s Christmas campaign ‘The World Needs More Santas’, Coca-Cola celebrates the spirit of Santa Claus in all of us. The iconicity of Santa Claus serves as a symbol of kindness, generosity, and goodwill, whether it’s helping a neighbor, sharing the last Coca-Cola, or lending a hand to a stranger in need.
To start the season of giving, Coca-Cola is back with one of the most cherished and iconic ways to herald the holiday season that ‘only Coca-Cola can do’ – and that is with the roadshow of its iconic Christmas Caravan/Truck Tour. Nothing says Christmas like seeing the Coca-Cola Caravan/Truck up close and personal with the opportunity to get a selfie with your loved ones. The legendary Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan marks the start of the Christmas season; and for this year, a celebration of everyone’s ‘inner Santa’; a core theme of the highly anticipated holiday campaign that heroes the spirit of kindness and generosity this Christmas.
The iconic Christmas Caravan will start its roadshow at this year’s Bonifacio Global City (BGC) Parade happening on November 25, where activities and lots of surprises await those passing by. It will be stationed at 5th Avenue until November 26 to deliver joyful surprises and gifts to people. Afterward, the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan will go around regional destinations all throughout December to spread even more Christmas spirit to more Filipinos. Watch out as a whole lechon might even be part of the mysterious gifts given to those along the truck’s routes!
For almost three decades, since it first lit up the small screen in a TV commercial in the mid-’90s, the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan/Truck has been a powerful, tangible icon of the holiday season across the globe. The brand hopes that its continued presence this 2023 will inspire and encourage the coming together of friends and families over a Coca-Cola, whilst enjoying lots of festive fun.
With the theme of this year’s campaign focused on evoking Christmas kindness, Coca-Cola Philippines is donating PhP 500,000 to a chosen charity/community this Christmas. They will also join Filipino YouTuber, Adam Alejo, as he goes around the Philippines to collect his own donation target of PhP 50,000 for his chosen community. At the end of his trip, he will be joined by fellow YouTuber, chef Ninong Ry, as they both prepare a small fiesta for the community—bringing people together to soak up the Christmas spirit through delicious food.
Adrian Manlapig, Marketing Manager for Coca-Cola Trademark, Coca-Cola Philippines said, “The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan has become a beloved tradition bringing families and local communities together to experience the magic of the Christmas season. At Coca-Cola, we believe that the magic of Christmas lies in the spirit of giving, and there’s no better symbol of generosity and kindness than Santa Claus himself. This holiday season, we’re inviting Filipinos to embrace the true essence of Christmas by being your own Santa for your family and friends, spreading joy and happiness through simple acts of kindness.” The World Needs More Santas and Coca-Cola hopes that this season, you can become one, too.
